President, The Loreanna Group

Anita Lofton currently is the President and CEO of The Lorneanna Group, a brokerage firm that design benefit packages for small to mid-size companies. She has over 25 years managing many high profile accounts ranging from the San Diego Chargers to American Airlines.

Her last ten years was spent in National Accounts where she was responsible for over 10 billion dollars in annual revenue. She served as a liaison between departments, and advised clients on issues related to funding alternatives, state legislation, plan design modifications and general financial administration. She also facilitated and coordinated open enrollment meetings, and developed employee wellness programs and communication materials that were instrumental in helping the employer to begin to see a return on their investment. Anita brings valuable insight, experience, leadership and management challenges faced by growing companies in this changing industry. Her wide range of achievements, product knowledge and insurance background makes her an expert in her field.

Anita Lofton was born in San Francisco, California and has 2 daughters. She majored in Business at Heald’s Business College in San Francisco. In l985 Anita transferred to San Diego with her husband who was in the U. S. Navy where she managed the operations of the Lincoln National Sales Office in LaJolla, CA. In this position she managed employer group benefit plans as well as managed the daily operations of the office. In the position she also played a major part in relocating a major call center and developing the training materials for the customer service staff.

In 2009, Anita founded the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce. Her primary objective was to economically empower African American Business and to increase the awareness of our spending power in our community. She believes that quality of life begins with a vibrant economy and a healthy community. This means having a flourishing education system that attract the best minds and provides academic achievement, as well as the ability to receive equal economic opportunities. Anita has earned several awards in her field ranging from Top Producer to Business Woman of the year from the National Coalition Of Colored Women.

Anita is currently a Founding Committee Member and Board Member of National Association of Minority Contractors/San Diego & Imperial County Chapter, AHIP Certified 2011-2012 and a advocate of Senior rights and resources. Anita is associated with the United Negro College Fund and National Association of Professional Women.
