2018 NAMCO LEADERSHIP DIVERSITY SUMMIT

A core group of our nation’s prominent leaders who have graced the cover and pages of DyNAMC Leaders for a Changing World national publication, as well as other leaders from the business, political, health, education and technology areas lend their enthusiasm and commitment to progressive change and innovative initiatives designed to expand public outreach, enhance diversity/inclusion, and promote next-generation leadership.

This core group of DyNAMC© leaders will participate in notable roundtables of powerful dialogue that facilitate the exchange of ideas and strategies on the topic of diversity; and how leadership is the most important risk mitigation tool. 

This summit is a must-attend event for seasoned leaders and executives as well as emerging leaders who understand that diversity and inclusion are critical to shareholder value and in building and empowering institutions, communities and our next generational leaders. The summit entails interactive roundtable discussions with an emphasis on the skills and competencies future leaders will need as we enter into a complex and rapidly-evolving business era.

Event Description:

NAMCO’s National Leadership Summit’s mission is to facilitate serious discussion and consideration of issues of ethnic and racial diversity in policy design both within the business arena and in society at large. This conference goal is to facilitate an on-going forum for discussion of policy implications for people of color, women, veterans, disabled and the LGBT communities. First-of-its-kind initiative, the National Association of Minority Companies/DyNAMC Leaders for A Changing World magazine aims to shed light on how public policy can help meet the opportunities and challenges posed by societies that are becoming increasingly diverse locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Summit core mission is three roundtable panels:

1) Leadership – Community, Corporate, Elected Officials

Does policy drive leadership or does leadership drive policy?

What are some solutions to increasing diversity and inclusion in e.g., procurement, education and workforce

2) Business – Small Business Owners

Minority businesses continue to be one of the fastest growing business segments and play an increasingly important role in job creation and economic growth.

Now is the time that we help policy and decision makers become better-versed in the development of minority, women and small suppliers as well as the growth opportunities that diverse-owned businesses create.

3) Youth – Ages 18 to 24

Youth Roundtable at the Summit “Millennial Generation Y, America’s Future Leaders Discuss Diversity Issues that Shape their Futures – emerging leaders who understand that diversity and inclusion are critical to shareholder value and in building and empowering institutions, communities and our next generational leaders.” The purpose of the Youth Roundtable is to urge policy and corporate decision makers to enforce and implement meaningful public and corporate policies that focus on effective diversity initiatives.
